The Technology

What Is
Microchanneling?

ProCell Microchanneling and Stem Cell Therapy is a modern aesthetic modality for skin rejuvenation—an effective alternative to more aggressive procedures and surgeries. Using cutting-edge biotechnology, this gentle yet effective method works to revive and revitalize the skin without creating inflammation or downtime.

Microneedling was first developed to address acne scarring, using needling devices to stimulate the skin's wound-healing response. Since then, it has evolved to address fine lines, wrinkles, dull skin, uneven tone, hyperpigmentation, sagging skin, and active acne. Microchanneling is the latest iteration of this technology—a minimally-invasive option refined over years of skincare innovation.

How It Works

Stimulation, Not Inflammation

Many professional skin rejuvenation treatments—including IPL, chemical peels, dermabrasion, and lasers—rely on creating inflammation to trigger a wound-healing response. ProCell Microchanneling takes a different approach: precision micro-needles are stamped into the skin to create thousands of uniform, microscopic micro-channels, activating the skin's immune function without the damage or downtime of more aggressive procedures.

  • Infuses skin care products with targeted actives — absorbed 200–300% more effectively into deeper tissue.
  • Supports the body's natural stem cells — known to promote scarless healing with minimal inflammation.
  • Stimulates collagen production — supporting collagen synthesis and remodeling at a more youthful rate.
  • Supports scalp health — this stimulation method has even been used to help support hair growth in the scalp region.
Who It's For

Conditions Microchanneling May Help

ProCell Microchanneling is often used to help support the appearance of:

  • Hyperpigmentation & melasma
  • Acne scarring & surgical scars
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Rosacea
  • Thinning hair & scalp health
  • Stretch marks
  • Dull skin
  • Sun damage
  • Skin texture & pore size
Why It's Different

Why Choose ProCell?

Traditional microneedling tools—like dermal rollers and pens—tend to produce less uniform results, and can create unnecessary drag or scratching on contact with the skin, leading to more inflammation and longer healing times. ProCell Microchanneling uses a precise stamping technique instead, creating cleaner, more consistent micro-channels for a gentler, more effective treatment.

Between Visits

Caring for Your Skin
After Treatment

A few important things to know to support your skin while it heals.

01

Wait before applying anything. Don't apply anything to the treated area for at least 90 minutes, aside from any ProCell aftercare products your esthetician provides.

02

Keep hands off. Avoid touching treated areas with your hands, cellphone, or other objects for at least 90 minutes to prevent irritation or infection.

03

Avoid direct sun. Stay out of direct sunlight for at least 24 hours. SPF can go on 90 minutes after treatment—reapply every two hours if you're outdoors.

04

Keep skin hydrated. Never let your skin dry out in the weeks following treatment; ask about post-treatment hydrating masks.

05

Some reactions are normal. Warm, tight, itchy, sensitive, or slightly pink skin afterward is a good sign your skin is healing well.

06

Ask your esthetician. Your aftercare plan is always personalized to your skin—check in with any questions between visits.

These tips are general guidance—your esthetician will give you personalized aftercare instructions after your session.

Good to Know

Questions, Answered

Everything to know about Microchanneling Therapy.

ProCell Microchanneling and Stem Cell Therapy is a non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment that uses precision micro-needles to create thousands of uniform micro-channels in the skin. This activates the skin's healing response and supports collagen production, without the inflammation or downtime of more aggressive procedures.

Because it's non-invasive, ProCell Microchanneling is an excellent choice for nearly all skin types, tones, and concerns—whether you experience chronic breakouts, dull skin, early signs of aging, or acne scarring. Many clients pamper their skin with regular sessions to maintain long-term skin health.

Yes. There are very few contraindications for the ProCell treatment, and side effects are uncommon. There is relatively little risk when the treatment is performed by a knowledgeable, licensed skincare professional.

Most clients report warmth or minor skin pricks as the treatment is delivered, and many find it relaxing and comfortable. Most can tolerate superficial treatments without any topical anesthetic.

Examples of contraindications include, but are not limited to: allergy to stainless steel, active radiation or chemotherapy, uncontrolled diabetes, chronic inflammatory skin disease, Accutane use in the past two years, or hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. This treatment is also not recommended for clients who are pregnant or nursing.

Many clients notice an improvement to complexion, tone, and texture immediately after treatment. New collagen takes a few weeks to form, and with a series of consistent sessions, you'll see more permanent, long-lasting skin transformation.

Everyone's needs and expectations are different. Your esthetician can talk through what to expect—the best results are usually seen after a series of treatments, followed by less frequent visits for maintenance.
